ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: A special dwelling
In a cave in the bedding, there lived a hamster. Not in a dirty, wet hole filled with filth and smelling of mud and mold. Not even in a bare gravel cave where there was nothing to put his store supplies or build himself a cozy nest: it was an ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ cave, and that meant comfort .
The hamster didn't have to leave his house: bedrooms, bathrooms, pantries (there were many of them), dining room, everything was on the same floor. And if he did want to go outside, he could get out through a hidden entrance in the roof.
This hole was excellent because, in the event of danger, it doubled as a loophole to quickly get to the safe burrow. One evening, long ago, when there was less noise and more green, a strange coincidence happened... (Freely adapted from JRR Tolkien)

The houses of the ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ series can be buried in litter up to 13 cm high , thus supporting the natural, underground way of life of your pet.

ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: loophole in the roof
Rodents have a strong escape reflex. Birds of prey and predators usually threaten animals in nature from above . As soon as they notice that something is moving above them (this could also be their owner), they strive to get to the safety of their den as quickly as possible. This was taken into account when developing the Rodipet ® ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ house. Through the entrance in the roof , your pet can retreat quickly and directly to its comfortable home as soon as it feels the need.
ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: Secret revealed!
Hamsters and most other small rodents carry supplies of food to their homes. Hamsters' fresh food that is beginning to spoil (such as fruit or vegetables) can be removed without destroying the small rodent's nest. This keeps the housing clean and hygienic .
You can also check the nest of offspring without lifting the whole house.
Especially in the first few days of moving in, when you don't know your new pet that well, it's reassuring to know that you can take a look at the rodent home.
ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: Always well-groomed claws
The natural wear and tear of the claws is usually neglected in the nagarium. In the wild, the nimble rodents run over hill and dale and expand their burrow - here the claws shorten themselves. Offer
your pet the opportunity to constantly at the same time to care for regrowing claws when walking over it, and thus to avoid complications that can cause nails that are too long.
ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: Also with filled cheek pouches...
An adult golden hamster can be up to 7 cm wide with full cheek pouches. If the entrances to the hamster house are too narrow, the fur nose has to squeeze through. The hamsters' cereal grains can injure the mucous membranes on the inside of the cheek pouches, which can lead to abscesses in the cheek pouches.
Entrances that seem too wide for our pet are automatically closed with soft bedding and hay so that they can gather strength for the night undisturbed in the shelter of the building.
ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: A cozy nest
...is important for the little rodents to feel really comfortable. Golden hamsters are passionate about creating cozy sleeping nests.
Moss makes it possible
Hamsters especially like to pull out some moss and build a spherical bunk. (We'll include the sheet moss.)
By the way, the little rascals love to look around for a new place to sleep after a while. They then move through the nagarium like nomads and look for a new hiding place.
ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: Corner toilet fits in
Most rodents do their "business" in corners. You can take advantage of this to reduce the need for cleaning the entire cage and significantly improve cage hygiene by installing a corner toilet in the house. To the chagrin of the owner, many rodents also like to urinate in the protection of their own four walls .

ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: Useful climate zone
Golden hamsters only have a low heat tolerance limit. In nature, when it's hot, the animals retreat to the cooling, subterranean building - in the nagarium you can simulate this effect with the granite roof. In summer, the granite rock offers your rodents pleasant cooling.
Tip on hot days:
On particularly hot days, you can significantly increase the cooling effect by trickling or spraying a few drops of water onto the granite roof. The moss enhances the effect if you soak it in water beforehand and place it on the roof.
ʄʋʀɬɨɴɡ: plate moss as a natural air conditioner
Moss acts like a sponge. Saturated with water, it holds the refreshing liquid for hours, releases it slowly and continuously, thus ensuring that the fine capillaries of the granite slabs remain moist and cool for a long time. During evaporation, a physical phenomenon automatically lowers the environment: great climate!
